MATCH WEEK 15 - ROUND-UP
1ST XI - WON BY 83 RUNS - v Ealing 1st XI
232-9 from the full 50 overs, and then Ealing were bowled out for 149 in 46.2. A commanding 83-run win and the maximum 10 points. The First XI move second in the table, only 11 points behind the leaders. All to play for.
2ND XI - WON BY 9 RUNS - v Eastcote 2nd XI
234-6 from 45 overs, with middle order power from Lee, Gundry, Bliss and Bennett, followed up by 4 wickets for Habib Younis. Eastcote were bowled out for 225 with two balls to spare - another strong win against strong opposition, and 10 points.
3RD XI - WON BY 136 RUNS - v Richmond 5th XI
A gutsy performance, recovering from 110/7 to 244 thanks to partnerships between Matt Heslop (53*), Peter O'Brien (27) and Sparky (37). Mathew Andrews also batted nicely in tough conditions early on for 39. Once Sparky (3/22) got into them the outcome never looked in doubt - Richmond all out for 108. Flynn and Ricardo cleaned up with 3 each, Sahil with the other.
2 more wins to confirm the team as Champions. Remember this as "A Ballet For A Rainy Day" come the winter.
4TH XI - LOST BY 36 RUNS - v Friends United 4th XI
Chasing 259, the Fourths were dismissed for 223 in 39.3 overs. A proper go at it that ended 36 runs short.
5TH XI - LOST BY 7 WICKETS - v Stoke Newington 5th XI
254 all out in 37.1 overs looked a total worth defending. Well batted to Pat Field, making his maiden Hornsey half century, scoring 59 off of 47. But Stoke Newington knocked it off for the loss of only three wickets with 6.3 overs unused. 254 on the board and still not enough.
6TH XI - LOST BY 2 WICKETS - v North London 5th XI
167 all out was defended all the way - North London needed eight wickets and 24 overs to get there, scrambling home with two wickets standing. Two wickets in it. That one will sting.

Three wins, three defeats - and two of them by the finest of margins.
