The First XI lost to Shepherds Bush by 72 runs. Pat Moore with the ball and Josh Hurst with both bat and ball only players to emerge with credit from a poor performance.

The Second XI stopped the rot with a winning draw away at Harrow St Marys. Stuart Garratt, Flynn Thomson and Nii Ollennu scored the runs. Wickets shared around but the bowlers only had one over at the last pair

The Third XI had the misfortune to have to travel to Indian Gymkhana where they needed ear plugs to block out the noise of the Bukhari brothers Raza and Waqar. Also local rules preclude stumping's which doesn't help. Lets hope they spirit of the game is not so liberally abused again. This week they return to Hurst Ave where there are no thugs in our house. The loss was immaterial

The 4th XI had a splendid win. Jack Goldberg welcomed back with a sparkling 83 Emran Bacchus contributing 86 and a brilliant cameo from Louis Garske of 32 not out which included 3 sixes set up a daunting total of 274. Brodie Thomson then ran amok with 5-46 from 10 overs to set up a win by 120 runs. Apparently we were visited by George Brodie - anybody see him?

5th XI. Badrul Alam set up a competitive total of 241 with 76. Unfortunately and young and inexperienced attack were unable to contain an experienced opposition batting line up who got there 5 down. Some strong performance though an encouraging signs for the future.

Abhay Goel was hampered by a lack of bowling in his 6th XI side as Crouch End scored 258- 4. But as usual the captain knuckled down and was ably supported in scoring 58 by Adiya Bajpai who made an excellent 74. Eventually they fell just 14 short which was a splendid effort

On Sunday a Hornsey Club XI played their semi final in the Middlesex T20 Finals day match against eventual winners Crouch End losing by 9 wickets. Teddington's Ed Pollock scoring 160 and 96 in a very entertaining day. Good luck to Crouch End as they progress to the regional finals and tanks to Indo Cuisine for excellent catering all day

The MDL U21 side lost to North london by 4 wickets on Sunday. Run machine Flynn Thomson scored 46 and a returning Noah Helfgott 39 the only real contributions in a below par total. Louis Garske (3) and Brodie Thomson(2) were the only bowlers able to apply pressure.
