We are an ECB Clubmark accredited cricket club. This means that we are committed to being a safe, effective and child-friendly cricket club. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome to join our junior section where our junior club and team training nights aim to foster a general love of sport and a lifelong love of cricket.
Our junior sides have tasted success in recent seasons with two appearances in Lord's finals. In addition, our U15s team were Middlesex County Cup winners in 2013 and our U17 team were Middlesex County Champions in 2015.
Hornsey CC have junior teams from U9 through to U17 and many of our older juniors play adult cricket for the senior XIs, a testament to the success of the junior section as well as to the ethos of the club where juniors are supported through a smooth transition into adult cricket. In the last couple of years many of our colts had outstanding seasons for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th XIs. A number of our juniors play for the county and in other representative teams (Borough, London Schools etc).
The junior club training night is Friday in the summer and we run additional team training on other days. Each age group also has a full programme of matches (both league and friendly) throughout the summer. We also enter teams into the Middlesex junior indoor leagues in the winter.
Club nights on Friday evenings are very sociable with a chance to catch up and meet other parents. The club runs a BBQ and the club bar is open on club nights.
Parents are welcome to get involved with all aspects of the running of the club – including managing a team, being involved in rotas to get children to matches, scoring, first aid and more….
Parents are also encouraged to join in quiz evenings and various other fund raising events at the club.
