Junior cricket

Hornsey Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited cricket club. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome to join our junior teams running from under 9s to under 19s. We are committed to fostering a general love of sport and a lifelong love of cricket. Read our safeguarding policies.

Our junior sides have tasted success in recent seasons with two appearances in Lord's finals. In addition, our U15s team were Middlesex County Cup winners in 2013 and our U17 team were Middlesex County Champions in 2015.

Many of our older juniors play adult cricket for the senior XIs, a testament to the success of the junior section as well as to the ethos of the club where juniors are supported through a smooth transition into adult cricket. Many of our Colts have had outstanding seasons for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th XIs.  A number of our juniors play for the county and in other representative teams (Borough, London schools etc).

Junior training

Junior summer training will run from Friday 15th April until Friday 15th July 6-8pm. We run additional team training on other days.

Each age group also has a full programme of matches (both league and friendly) throughout the summer. We also enter teams into the Middlesex junior indoor leagues in the winter.

Family friendly fun

Aside from the high standard of cricket, there is a thriving social scene at Hornsey. We run a wide variety of events throughout the season, and always have a strong contingent of players that head back to Hornsey's bar after games on a Saturday.

Parents are welcome to get involved with all aspects of the running of the club – including managing a team, being involved in rotas to get children to matches, scoring, first aid and more.

Parents are also encouraged to join quiz evenings and other fundraising events at the club.
