Brentham won by 9 wickets.

A disappointing start to the season.
 
Hornsey batted first on a very slow low wicket and quickly lost wickets that continued to tumble with regularity. Richard Charlton and Al Thomas could not consolidate on starts and at 35-7 we looked as if we could be shot out for less than 40. Johnny Bruce 27 not out, counterattacked and was supported by Oscar Wood to get us up to 78.

Despite tight bowling initially Brentham passed our score with one wicket down taken by Keith Michael.
